 CHAPTER 32

Words can be deceiving if you say it only for the sake of it and never meant to fulfil it. That’s why people say action speak louder than words as you can always opt to not act on the words you say but when you cat without word it shows the genuine efforts of you. So before you say anything be sure that you mean it and are gone act on it. You don’t need to declare it all you need to do is prove that you mean every word you say. Most people tend to forget that some word when said and never fulfilled can leave such and impact that no time can heal it as there is no medicine for a wound that is cursed to bleed for ever. Even when you know you have moved a head a part of you still laches to that moment when you lost something that you still cherish and wished things can be different. But has life ever been far to everyone, everyone has their shares of pain but when some pain turns out to be a constant ache in your heart you can never get rid of it. But you can try to move ahead and not to let it be a hurdle in your life that is on a shaky ground till you bury that part that will always pull you down. 

Khushi has just opened the door but and stepped in, she knew her body was shivering but curiosity and mystery of the room was too much for her to take but as she looked around all she saw was two doors. Now she was confused which door to choose and after thinking for a while she selected the door on the right side she had just put her hand on the knob when it opened up and what she saw shocked her and she took a step back with her eyes wide.

ASR looked at khushi standing in front of him and if he was shocked would be an understatement as no one has ever entered this room ever without his permission but maybe this girl standing in front of her was an exception that he had himself let her enter his life. He had always liked his privacy and that’s why he had made sure no one knew about her as her safety mattered the most to him. he had consulted various doctor around the world and one thing everyone had said him that she is highly prone to infection and so they should take extra care of her and that’s why he had made the washroom also in such a way that it was connected with two door from inside the room and also a door from the main hall and he never took the same door back to the room as it was necessary to make sure the germs are not carried in with him so he had made a special arrangement and set a machine at the entrance of door that kills all the germs through the UV ray that the machine scans your body with.

ASR was angry for sure to know she had defied his rule but it was again her luck that she is not gone be punished as he never did anything today other than spending his time with her. He looked at her and just said I have said never to enter the place that is prohibited for you.

Khushi looked at him and then down drawing pattern on the ground and said in a meeky voice I didn’t wanted to enter but then when I saw the nurse getting out of the room curiosity caught me and I could not resist it and jumped in to take the opportunity that was presented to me and you would have done the same thing if you would have been at my place you should know never to forbid a teenager to not do something it makes them more curious about it. Khushi looked at him for his reaction and his blank face made her scared so she tried to use her puppy dog face with a cute pout saying sorry to him and trying to melt him, as everyone who knew her believed that no one can resist her such a cute heart melting gesture.

ASR looked at her cute face but he was too far from things that could have melted his heart with this cute gesture. He looked at her sternly and said have I not said to you that you will be punished every time you defy me and saw her nodding her head. He looked at her and said so you want to know the mystery of this room. Khushi looked up at him and just nodded her head. ASR looked at her and said I will let you know about it when the time is right and till then stay away from this room.

Khushi heard him out and then looked at him and gave him a bright smile and said fine with me but just promise me you will tell me the secrets when the time is right. I know it must be something important and close to your heart that’s why you are so protective about it and I do believe we all have some secrets. Payal Jeeji says that if you hide something it doesn’t mean you want to deceive or are scared of truth but you just feel that it’s not the right time or moment to reveal something or you need to gain their trust to let them feel comfortable with you trust with you secret and telling someone your secret is like sharing a part of you and giving someone the hold on you most prized possession as when you hide something either is too priceless for you or you are ashamed of it. Khushi looked at him and said you are not scared that means the secret is the cherished and priceless one. I trust you to share it with me when you feel I’m worthy enough.

ASR just watched her with a weird feeling she was the second person in his life to trust him without any explanation and the question that poked his mind was is it that easy to trust him and then his mind taunted him hadn’t he also been naïve once to lay his trust in the wrong people who just ruined him and now all he is left with is this never ending vacuum that will never fill. But when he saw her eyes that were shining with her trust for him he knew he had to take that leap of faith with her and he never back down from his word and at the moment he knew she deserved to know. Her belief on him was enough for him there were very less people in his life who stood by him without demanding any explanation just trusting him and the funny part was it was never the people he laid his trust on. Maybe it was high time for him to believe someone who believed him and so he did something he would never do without being sure. He looked at her and just said follow me.

Khushi just looked at him shocked but was dam curious to know the secret so before ASR would change his mind she followed him and in her excitement she had not seen him stop and had gone and banged with his back and then looked at him and giggled and said I didn’t see you have stopped.

ASR looked at her sternly and said a keep your eyes up and see where you are walking too. He looked at her and said before we walk in through that door let me tell you something and your opinion doesn’t matters. Khushi just shook her head. ASR looked at her and said you are not gone ask me any question and do as I say you not to use your crazy and weird mind in their as soon as we step in that room you have to keep all you crazy thoughts or action out her and then enter the room. Khushi smiled at him and did the action of taking her brain out and keeping it on the side and then zipping her lips and showed thumbs up and action, she is ready to go. ASR looked at her and shook his head and just moved ahead and opened the door and entered the room.

Khushi just followed him and waited for him to say something but she looked up at him and saw him looking at something and then she followed his sight and was shocked to see a lady lying on the bed with various machine attached to her. Khushi moved close to her and looked keenly she was shocked to see a young lady with skinny body and pale face eyes wide open but not moving or trying to react to see someone new in the room. But even when her eye balls were not moving showing any sign of life but her body held some kind of warmth that made you feel welcome. Khushi looked at the lady and then at ASR she wanted to ask him who she was but she knew he had said he not s she looked at him with questioning eyes and felt that his entire attention was on the lady.

Khushi wanted to shake him up from the trance he was in but for the first time she had seen any kind of feelings in his eyes they held some kind of warmth and she wanted to let this moment be so she moved towards the couch in the room and sat on it and started observing him. She saw ASR moving toward her and kissing her hand and creasing it. But what she saw in his eyes bold her away there was so much respect for the lady next to him in his eyes. She had never seen him respecting any one just ordering them around and giving a dam about others feeling or how hurt his action can make them but her he was looking as a different man.

She didn’t know whether she should be jealous of the lady as she held a special place in her husband’s life even if he was forced on her she had accepted him as a part of her life. He may have not given her much chances to cherish their relationship but she was fine with the baby steps they are taking. She didn’t wanted a fairy tale or happily ever after as she didn’t believe in it. As for her an after had a before and sometimes your before may be changed by your after but it is still present as you can’t let go you past completely ever as along with good there is always bad too and you have to make sure that you good memories are cherished and bad memories are a lifelong lesson to remember.

She may not have had a fairy tale wedding or a prince charming but she knew what she go was maybe what destiny had in stored for her she truly believed her Devi Maya can never be unkind or unjust toward her and if she had written this in her life maybe it was fate and she will see to it that she stands tall to fight it through as she had always been a fighter, she may have fallen weak at times but that doesn’t mean she had laid her weapons she will just wait for the right time to strike. 

She knew it may sound foolish to give a man who has forced you to marry him and then did things to you that had scared the hell out of you, but she knew that only way to subside your fear is to face it so she decided to give it a try and she was not wrong as she had gained few things in this bargain. She may not be a free bird but she had at least some kind of freedom and she believed something is better than nothing. ASR may have not been all carrying and gentle but at least he was not forcing her to do things she didn’t like.

At present when she was looking at him with that soft expression and eyes full of care it made her curious to know about the lady so she walked toward the bed and tapped his shoulder to gain his attention.

ASR had completely forgotten khushi when he entered the room al his attention was on her and he was least bothered about anything else so when he felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned back he was shocked to see Khushi her and then his brain started to process things that he had asked her to follow him. He looked at her and then back at the lady on the bed and held her hand tightly and said this is Lavanya she has been in coma for past four years. Khushi saw him holding her hand and saying to her pointing towards me this is khushi.

Khushi didn’t like the way he introduced her it felt like this was not the ASR she knew he sounded vulnerable and she didn’t like it. From the moment she had known him all he had emitted is power and dominance and she liked him that way. You may feel it too be a teenager fascination or crazy but she liked him with his grey shape too. She looked at ASR and wanted to ask so many thing but she knew he will only answer when he wants to so she didn’t bother to ask him what she meant to him as she knew the lady was very dear to his stoned heart. She looked at him and then looked at the lady and smiled and said hi I’m khushi you must be Arnav ji’s close friend as he is never soft to anyone like he is with you.

ASR who heard her looked up at her with shock and said how you can say she is my friend. Khushi looked at him and said I felt like that so I said it and I know if she is not you friend and something else you won’t say me what she means to you unless and until you want to tell. So I trust my instincts and feel she is your friend.

ASR looked straight in her eyes and without any further thought or delay said meet Mrs. Lavanya Raizada.
