CHAPTER 33

Every one of us have different face that we show to different people in our life. We are entirely true only to those who are close to us. But sometime we do take a leap of faith to tell someone the deepest secret of our life hoping and believing that they will cherish it and keep it hidden like we wish it to be and never use it as their weakness, as they have given them it with hope to not make their belief weaker but stronger by guarding it. Where had said that we can smile with anyone but we share our tear only with someone who is really close to us or on whom we can put our trust. Trust is the most fragile emotion of all and when it’s broken it can never be gained back. As shattered and broken things even if mend leave a mark for ever, that are constant reminder of what you have lost. Sometimes the loss is so great that even with passing time the wounds never heals and only stings with every breath you take, still you are helpless as the pain it brings will never leave you.

ASR looked at the shocked face of his wife but what shocked him that there was no anger, pain, hurt or distrust for him. he had seen many people judging him but the girl standing in front of him who had all the reason to distrust him, as from the moment she had met him all he had been is cruel to him and her she was standing in front of him looking curious about the lady he had just introduced to her as Mrs. Raizada. So he looked at her and said are you not hurt that she too is Mrs. Raizada. He looked at her keenly but still there was no distrust in her face and what shocked him more was that she smiled at him.

Khushi looked at him and for the first time she saw some kind of emotion and blinked her eyes to see if what she saw was true and that emotion was still on his face, so she smiled at him and said why I should distrust you. I know we are different and weird people who are in an even weird relationship but what I have learned about you in this few days is that you never lie and deceive and I know one thing for sure that if you would have been married already you would have never got married to me. She looked at him and said you would be confused why I am so sure about it, she took a pause and said I have seen what kind of a person you are, but never in this time I have seen you lying or cheating with any word you never meant. I believe that you can never cheat and will never forget someone who cheats you. I know it’s weird that I trust you when I could easily not but we have to start somewhere so I’m taking a step toward our relationship by trusting you.

ASR looked at her shocked and said how you can easily trust me it was hard for him to digest the truth that it came so easy to her. He looked at her and for the first time asked her how you can be this innocent sometime and this mature the next moment.

Khushi smiled at him and said I know jeeji says the same that how I can be childish and mature at the same time. Khushi shrugged her shoulder and said how I know. ASR shook his head at her and said its waist to ask you anything sensible khushi pouted at him and said you are so mean to me I won’t talk to you and turned her face other side.

ASR shook his head and said don’t you want to know who is Mrs. Raizada and saw her turn around and look at him curiously. But ASR looked at her and said are you really trusting me or is this some kind of trick to gain my trust and looked keenly to see her reaction. But there was no change on her face expression.

Khushi looked at him and his sudden stern face and smiled at him and said I never asked you to trust me but I said I trust me. I know you have trust issues and then she realized what she said looked at him and now his calm face had started growing red and she knew her words had made him angry. So she turned around and soon was standing little away from him and said I didn’t mean to offend you and looked at him with her puppy pleading eye and waited to see this temperature to drop. But what she saw made her jaw drop to the ground.

ASR saw her scared face after she said that he had trust issue and closing her mouth with both her hand and moving back in fear. So he for the first time did he had never imagined himself doing he made his face stern and showed her that he was offended and angry by her word but next moment when he saw her puppy face pleading to forgive her he could not hold himself and laughed out loud. He was till laughing when he saw her looking at him with her jaw dropped and eyes wide staring at her. He folded his hand over his chest and said close your mouth khushi or I will close it for you and winked at her. His words made khushi look at him as if she was dreaming so she pinched herself and shrieked out and said I thought I was dreaming. 

Arnav looked at her and pulled her toward him and said I gave you the chance and soon his lips sealed her lips and he was kissing her but this time khushi could feel the difference in his kiss. It was passionate yet tender and she felt for the first time he was letting her see his emotion or feel close to him. Khushi kissed him back and circled her hand around his neck pulling him closer to her and she liked the warmth she felt in his arm for the very first time.

They both were so lost in each other’s arm that they didn’t see the monitor attached to the person on the bed was showing how rapid her heart was increasing and a single tear slipped out from her closed eye lid.

The loud beeping of the monitor brought them back to the real world from their passion. ASR moved toward the bed and pressed a button soon the nurse who had left walked in and checked the lady and gave her injection and soon her heart beat was normal again. Nurse looked at ASR and said I have called the doctor he would be here in few minutes.

Khushi looked at the scared face of ASR and held his hand tightly. But ASR pulled his hand out of her hold and said you should leave and moved and sat back on the couch he was sitting previously. Khushi looked at his cold behaviour and knew it was best if she moved out and but she looked at him one last time with hope that he will say her to stay back but none of that happen. ASR knew her eyes were on him but he knew if she stays his hurt will come out in form of anger and he will hurt her in the process so it was better if she left for now.

As soon as khushi was out of the door doctor walked in and checked Mrs. Raizada. ASR waited for him to do his work and the moment Doctor turned he was standing near him and said how is she. Doctor looked at him and smiled at him as after four year he had a news that could save him from ASR’s wrath. Doctor looked at him and said it’s a good sign ASR something made her react and said what new thing happened near her today. ASR looked at him in shock and said I made her meet my wife. Doctor smiled and said maybe that made her happy and she reacted in that way. I suggest you should bring your wife her often and see if there is any improvement on Mrs. Raizada. ASR just nodded at doctor’s suggestion and said I will see what I can do. Doctor nodded his head and said I have made some changes in her medicine and the nurse also knows about the changes in medicine, let’s hope for the best and he left the room.

ASR moved toward her bed and sat on the stool next to it and said you must be happy I did what you wished for. At least now give me the happiness and get up. You and Nani wanted me to marry I did please now get up and irritate me with you nonstop talking. He kissed her hand but a tear dropped from his eyes to her hand and he said I hope this time you come back to me and this is not like all the other times. I will make you meet Khushi. He looked at her and said yes her name is Khushi and chuckled a bit and said a man who never knew what happiness is got the wife named khushi. I know you will love her too as she is somewhat like you and can talk for hours without a break. I won’t say more about her as I want you to find it out yourself. He lend on her and kissed her forehead and said Happy Birthday oldie and got up and left the room to talk to khushi which was much needed right now.

ASR walked toward the living room and was shocked at the scene going on in front of him. HP brothers were running from living room to kitchen and coming back caring some or the other dish. He walked to the living room and saw khushi sitting on the couch surrounded with so many various dish. He looked at her and then shouted loudly what the hell is going on here. His voice gained HP brothers, they looked at ASR and said Ma’am was crying at first than she ordered us to bring her every snacks we know to make and now she is eating it.

ASR looked at HP brother and then at her and said them to go. He walked and sat next to her and watched her eating as if she had been starved for a month. After few minutes he cleared his throat and saw her look at him but then she again started to stuff her mouth with the food. ASR held her hand and said what you are doing. Khushi shrugged his hand and gulped the food in her mouth and said I’m hurt so I’m eating. ASR looked at her with a raised eyebrow and said why so. Khushi wiped her hand on her dress than rubbed her nose that was red due to her crying and said you said me to get out and didn’t even say me who is Mrs. Raizada and whenever a secret is half revealed to me and then I get curious and you said you will tell me and then didn’t so I’m hurt and when I’m hurt I like to eat.  ASR looked at her and said you know this doesn’t make sense.

Khushi looked at him and glared at him and said everything is not necessary to make sense. ASR looked at her and said don’t you think you are talking too much. Khushi looked at him and showed him her tongue and again got back to her eating. ASR looked at her weird behaviour and said are you fine but got no reply from her. Before ASR could say more they heard a loud voice shouting for him and he knew that voice and his fist clenched and his eyes turned red as soon as he saw the man in front of her.

Khushi who was still sulking when she heard a loud voice and she spilled the milk shake she was drinking on herself and that made her angry. She looked ahead and saw the man standing in front of her who was shouting for ASR. But before ASR could say anything Khushi had got up from her seat and walked toward the man and just dumped the remaining milkshake on his head leaving both the man shocked.

ASR was shocked with the weird behaviour of khushi and looked at her she was still fuming in anger. Before he could ask her anything he heard khushi speak. How dare you shout because of you my dress got ruined and I couldn’t drink the milkshake I wanted to know you will make a milkshake for me. Khushi came back to her senses when she heard ASR’s voice.

She turned back and looked at him and again turned to the man who was looking at her in shock and said I’m so sorry and ran to the table were a napkin was kept and was about to clean the man when ASR held her hand. Khushi looked at him and said I didn’t mean to Arnavji but I don’t know how.

The man standing next to them came back to his sense when he saw ASR hugging the girl and rubbing her back saying it was fine. He looked at the shivering girl in ASR’s hold and then back at ASR the anger he had seen before was replaced with concern, but before he could relish this change, he saw ASR looking at him with same intense eyes. The man looked at him and said who is she eying to khushi but got no reply.

ASR looked at the man and said why you are here. The man looked at him and said I talked to her doctor he said there was some improvement and you know I said you last time that if there will be even little of improvement in her then I will move back here and you can’t stop me. Last time I agreed to your word as I know you care for her but you know she means a lot to me to and you can’t keep her away from me.

ASR looked at the man and loosened his hold on khushi and held the man’s collar and said you love her but could not protect her. You promised to protect her but you failed. I gave you a chance for her but no more. The man looked at him and said I agreed to you as I know even if she loves me it will always be less than the love she has for you. But now I will not stay away from her and you will not force me or I will have to go to court and you know I can easily get her but I know she won’t like it. ASR looked at him and said try me.

The man looked at him and said I’m not here to fight all I want is to be near to her and you can’t dictate me this time. Both the men were fighting when ASR saw khushi moving past the man he was talking and something caught his eyes. He looked at the man and then within a blink was next to khushi and lifted her in his arm and started moving toward their room. The man was left dumb folded looking at this seen. The man was still standing looking at the retreating couple when HP came there and said Nirvan sir when did you came back. The man was still looking at the couple HP saw what he was looking at and said that’s ASR’s wife Khushi. Nirvan looked at HP shocked and said what. HP looked at him and said ASR got married a few week ago.

Nirvan looked at him shocked but said nothing and moved toward the room to see her. As soon as he entered the room he looked at her with all the love and sat on the bed edge next to her and said now your wish has been fulfilled at least now end this suffering and come back if not for us than for him. So will you Lavanya Nirvan Raizada wake up now and end this suffering we are going through without you.
